Earthquake or Airplane?

Depending upon who you ask we either experienced a 6.0 earthquake or had an air plane take off near by. We awoke yesterday at 0615 to the earth shaking. When Ben went to check on the kids, Logan announced that it was an airplane. By some small miracle the kids laid back down and let us sleep for another much needed hour.

We felt aftershocks parts of the day yesterday, but it wasn't too scary. I think living through the Hawaiian earthquake where I thought it was the Korean's bombing us was so much scarier. If you haven't heard the story here it is in a brief version. Ben was working days and already at work when we had an earthquake (first ever for me). I ran downstairs called Ben who couldn't talk, called parents who didn't know anything, and then went to the tv. I hadn't realized that Ben had been watching CNN before work and they were reporting on bombs being tested in Korea. Then, the power went out for about 16 - 18 hours. Took maybe an hour or two to find out we weren't being bombed and for the realization of I hadn't done the grocery shopping to sink it. We had tuna and crackers for lunch and sardines and crackers for supper. We did grill out, but it wasn't ready in time before Logan went to bed.

Luckily, we had power, heat, and water all day yesterday. And in doing so, I set off to finishing the master bedroom and getting rid of all boxes. I succeeded in doing so, but not in taking pictures. Cora sat for a good portion of an hour in a sea of books. She finally has started to become a little bit interested in maybe sitting through more than a page of a book (board or paper). Oh and I couldn't resist including a picture of Logan on the potty. He requested a magazine from the basket and held it up to show what he was looking at before taking hte picture. My friend Laura used the notion of privacy to get her son to go poop on the potty. It doesnt' seem to be working for us. Logan is under the assumption that privacy means Mommy stays in the bathroom and Cora is locked out.
