The night before Easter, we colored our eggs. Logan was really excited and wanted to keep coloring them after we were done. Both him and I ended up with colored hands from reaching into the cup. We have a cute video of him pointing out the different eggs and explaining to us that one of them had a "boo-boo," but after many days and attempts of uploading the stupid thing I'm giving up.

Coloring Easter Eggs-- Logan

Can't wait for Spring
Logan and I have been getting ready to spring and gardening. We have sunflowers and tomatoes started in the window sill. Logan really likes watching the flowers grow. About everytime I think spring might be around the corner, we have a cold front move through and get more snow. Yesterday, it was nice enough that we went down to the park and played for a good hour. When we woke up this morning we had snow on the ground. It will probably be melted by the end of the day, but still. For those of you who don' tknow where Elko is, we are in the rocky mountains approx. 5500 feet above sea level.

Eskimo Kissing
Since moving to Nevada (aka The Arctic Circle), we have been teaching the kids to eskimo kiss. There are a couple benifits to teaching them this:
1. It's cute
2. No slobber included
3. No open mouth kissing from those who forget to close them (talk about slobber!)
A down point would be that sometimes you get boogers along with your kiss. (ewww--haha)

Feeling the Love
Since I have started working outside the home, Cora has finally warmed up to Ben. Not that she didn't like him before, but her preference was me and if I was around she'd have nothing to do with him; without screaming or pushing him away.
Now, she has done a complete 180 and will cuddle with him and if she's in my arms she'll reach for him. I'm happy to know that she doesn't always have to be in MY arms to be comforted or content.

Painting
So, while Cora took her nap and I scrap booked Logan got to paint. We started of with watercolors and then move to the finger paints. He had a blast and I got some much needed pages done. I think I love my kitchen even more now. both of us were able to spread out and do our thing. Granted, Logan did paint my hand a couple times without realizing he was doing so (He was talking and looking at pictures). One of the pictures he painted he exclaimed one blob (they all seemed to look alike to me) was a fish and then proceeded to paint another blob above it. That was the ocean. Logan really misses the ocean and when he is asked about it he will reiterate that it is far far away.
Scrapbooking
Ok. First, I must thank my friend Laura who took some awesome pictures of Logan and me only 9 days before I gave birth to Cora. Cutting it a little close to the due date, but well worth it. She did a terrific job. I finally just got around to starting on Cora's scrapbook. I am proud to say that I have finally made it through her first six weeks, and now I am at the point of needing to print out more pictures. If you scrapbook, you'll now exactly how big of deal 6 weeks of pictures in a scrapbook is.

Cora and Snow

Fresh Air -- Cora walking
I took too many pictures and had to separate them into two different blogs. Here is Cora discovering the snow. Then again, maybe not. I've tried for two days to get the pictures to load up now...maybe another day the system will be up and working so I can add some new pictures. In the mean time, here is a clip of Cora walking around. It is the same daythat we went to Ben's work earlier.
Fresh Air --Logan
Yesterday the kids and I went to pick-up daddy from work a little bit early and they got to run free. Well, not too much running was done. Logan is in a phase that is humerous at times and frustrating at others. He, lately, has been insisting on wearing his Elmo slippers. We've let him, he just can't wear the dirty things around the house. Trade off.

Finishing Our Basement
We have decided to tackle the job of finishing our basement. It will take some time, but in the end it will be so much more room. The wall have already been drywalled from a previous owner. We put our first piece of drywall on last night!
Yes, we have a mountain of boxes to go through yet. Most of it is outdoor items that can wait to be gone through until it is warmer. It is getting there too. The high for today is supposed to be in the 40s. woohoo.
I also have officially started my job at Home Depot, and finally finished my computer training! It took two 8 hour days to finish. So far I really like it and it will definatly be a useful resource for home improvement tasks.
I tried taking a self-portrait, but it came out terrible...oh well.
